Welcome to MozOO.org
MozOO.org is a set of productivity tools for Windows. It is specifically aimed at home and small business users who "just want to get on with work". If you use Windows but are tired of expensive office package upgrades, MozOO.org is for you. The term "free" in our motto refers to freedom (liberty), not price, although the contents of this CD are made available at no cost.

The main components and their key features are:
- Web and E-mail
- Firefox: Internet standards compliant browser. Offers "tabbed browsing" to reduce window clutter on your desktop.
- Thunderbird: read, write and organise your e-mails. Includes an advanced self-learning spam-filter.
- Nvu: design and publish your web pages.
- Office Suite
- OpenOffice.org: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and slide shows, vector graphics.
- Read/write MS Office documents.
- Built-in support for creating PDF files.
- Database support and connectivity in all components.
The current version of the CD is 502, which means that it was published in February 2005. We publish a new version when any of the main components releases a major update. For more information about the CD contents and our own roadmap, see RoadMap.
The MozOO.org CD comes with an installer that allows you to pick the packages you wish to use, and then guides you through the installation process. The installer starts automatically when you insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installer does not remove or replace any other existing software package you may have installed on your system. This enables you to try the MozOO.org components without disrupting your familiar work enviroment.
The CD contents are localised specifically for different language areas. This affects the MozOO.org installer as well as any of the programs for which a localised version is available. While each CD always has all dictionaries and other language tools available, the ones for your language are preselected. You may select to install additional languages during the installation process, or at a later time by simply running the installer again.
